Course overview:

Rapid advances in technology have created an environment for making music in new ways.  The use of multi-track recorders and computer technology enable people to create in a studio environment in their homes.  Music for commercials, films, and CD’s are being produced without entering a studio.

Recording Arts Technology will provide students with a working knowledge and understanding of today’s audio technology.  This course will serve as a springboard for students with an interest in music, electronics, popular culture, computers and audio technology.

What you need to have:

  • A set of headphones (Ear buds)
  • gnspes account

It would be nice if you had:

  • Your own laptop
  • USB mic/Audio interface

Classroom expectations:

  • Abide by Covid safety protocols
  • Be respectful of the equipment
    • Put equipment away when you’re finished using it.
    • If something breaks report it to Mr. Bezeau
    • No food or drink around the equipment
